"If Yvonne's enthusiasm could be bottled, it could power a space program. She is someone who dreams big and is not afraid to go after large ideas and talk to the heads of industry to try to make them happen. I've seen her take on many projects with gusto and determination."

about

I’m Yvonne Mayfield, an experienced and passionate aerospace educator with over a decade of success in creating and leading dynamic
K–12 STEM education programs across nonprofit, municipal, and museum sectors.
My career is fueled by a deep commitment to inspiring the next generation through the wonders of aviation and space advancements.
With a background that bridges hands-on aviation operations and community-based educational outreach, I bring a unique blend of technical expertise and instructional leadership. My journey includes serving as a NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory Solar System Ambassador, volunteering in archives, aircraft restoration and education at the San Diego Air & Space Museum, and managing
youth development programs across the West Coast.
I specialize in curriculum development, cross-sector collaboration, and facilitating engaging workshops that reach diverse audiences. Whether I’m coordinating aerospace camps, restoring vintage aircraft, or presenting aviation and space exploration presentations to thousands of students,
I lead with curiosity, creativity, and a love for community building.
Currently pursuing a B.S. in Space Studies with a focus on Space Policy, I continue to expand my knowledge while actively preserving aerospace history and advocating for aerospace education.Let’s build a future that reaches for the skies and stars together!
